Last week was one of those times when everything had to be done at the same time: work and private life in one chain of things that had to be solved. Somewhere you have to unsubscribe, and this time it included the blog. In the meantime, I hope you find something to share on Instagram, although I wonder if we’re all feeling a certain saturation. Maybe the constant update is no longer so central, neither for me nor for you. A little less screen time might not be a bad thing.
At work, we moved the office after fourteen years. We’re finally in town. It has changed daily life more than I thought: less transport distance, less logistics, more energy left. As if the entire puzzle has been upgraded.
There are also a lot of elevators in the new office, so maybe it’s time to reintroduce the old elevator selfie when inspiration strikes.

In any case, we have stuck to some of our routines: picking up the Sinterklaas letters from NK, as we always do. Everyone chose a new ball for the tree and the children felt strangely at home in Nieuwpoort. We avoided the crowd at the bookstore and played chess. I looked at CDs and felt like I was missing a simpler time. I also found a book that I want for Christmas.

In the middle of all this I still managed to pass Gallerie Storm where they had an event with GIABE. Fantastically well-made men’s clothing, and above all: I haven’t seen so many women in a long time. It struck me how easy it is to lose people you care about just because the days are filled with other things. It was nice to see each other again, even if just for a moment.
It was earlier last week, we will catch up with the update soon. Hopefully you had a somewhat quieter time. I have lowered all the standards and I think for the first time in my life I feel some kind of calm and contented holiday spirit. But more about that to come.
