Today is December 24th, in other words it’s Christmas Eve here. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful day, however you spend this Wednesday in December.
Christmas Eve
In many countries the ‘evening’ is seen as the day for the big day, but in Sweden Christmas Eve undoubtedly plays the leading role in the celebration. And the same goes for other holidays in Sweden. We Swedes like to focus on Easterafton and Midsummeraftonrather than on the “day” of the holiday. You might think we’re in a bit of a hurry to get straight into the party, haha.

How do you celebrate?
Do you celebrate Christmas Eve with traditions, Christmas presents, Christmas food and family? Are you busy trying to fix things so that everyone around you will be happy? Do you like a small-scale party ‘in miniature’? Perhaps you completely ignore all traditions and prefer to tinker with something completely different? Or maybe it will just be that way? Whether you are at home or on the road, we wish you a Merry Christmas Eve, entirely according to your wishes!

Some thoughts on Christmas…
We wish that the Christmas weekend can be a time when you have the opportunity to relax, be cozy with Christmas lights, good food, maybe books and movies… or whatever you want. We want everyone to be able to celebrate exactly how they want, without too high expectations or too much stress.

We wish you a very Merry Christmas
We wish you a very Merry Christmas! Regardless of whether you celebrate big, small or not at all. For our part, we will spend Christmas Eve with Peter’s son Robin and his wife Alexandra. Other Christmases we are at home in the houseboat, or visiting other family members.

Finish with some Christmas reading
