Barbados Royals -women were unbeaten in the 2025 Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) To keep their title after beating the Guyana Amazon Warriors women with three wickets with two balls saving in a nail biting grand finale, played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
Asked to hit first, the Warriors reached a score of 136/3 with Opener Amy Hunter scored 29 of 36 balls. The rest of the top order was supported, but could not collect enough limits to set a really challenging totally.
Dane van Niekerk and Captain Shermaine Campbelle joined forces to put together an undefeated 56-run partnership for the fourth wicket after Stafanie Taylor was forced to withdraw pain, just when the warriors wanted to accelerate the score.
In response, the Royals lost two wickets in the Powerplay, including the in-shape Chamari Athapaththu for 25. However, Kycia Knight and Courtney Webb consolidated to set up the Push for a third consecutive title, but not for a late fightback from the hosts.

Athapaththu scored the most points in the tournament and together with Seven Wickets the player of the series was mentioned. Ashmini Munisar and Laura Harris van de Warriors have each packed eight wickets to share the most wickets prize.
With the victory, the royals have now expanded their dominance over the Warriors to 9-0.
