Legend Wayne Rooney of Manchester United scored only four minutes for the SUNDAYS FIFT on Sunday in Soccer Aid in Old Trafford for the Stretford end.

Rooney, 39, who played for England against a rest of the world XI, shot home from 14 meters after former alternated teammate Edwin van der Sar had not collected a cross.

The goal set a new record as the earliest in the history of football help.

Football help, which was launched in 2006, sees former football stars share a field with celebrities in the name of collecting money for UNICEF.

Although it is the largest sporting event of their lives for many of the people involved, Rooney has been there and has often done it before – scoring 253 goals for United during his play career, plus 53 for England.

But the ex-England captain still looked very happy with himself after finding the net on Sunday.
