President Trump confirmed to reporters on Tuesday that he plans to hold his famed campaign rallies as the 2026 midterm elections approach and Republican control of the House of Representatives and the Senate is in jeopardy.
Meanwhile, Republicans in Congress are dragging their feet on passing legislation to codify President Trump’s agenda ahead of potential unrest in November.
They haven’t even passed basic common sense, and Republican voters’ favorite, the SAVE Act to require voter ID and proof of citizenship to vote!
Hopefully the efforts of campaign volunteers and millions of dollars in small donations are not robbed by election fraud.
While answering questions before making remarks in Iowa, Trump said he is “going around” rallying voters to come out in the midterm elections.
“I don’t understand it,” Trump said of the trend of the ruling party losing midterm elections almost every time.
“That said, the polls are looking very good. Everything is looking very good.”
WATCH:
Trump: I go around, and I go around because hopefully we win the midterm elections, and it’s very scary because it’s two years out of fifty, or something like that. For some reason if a president wins a Republican or a Democrat, even though they’re a good president, and hopefully I’m a great president – based on the first yes, I’m a great president. And we also had a great first semester. People don’t – we rebuilt our military, we had phenomenal financial numbers. But I think this term really blows away any term.
But traditionally, when a president is elected, in the last fifty years, I think two presidents have won. I don’t understand. They’ve had two, so we have to – and one was due to unusual circumstances. So there is something psychological.
If you win the president, whether you are Republican or Democrat, the polls look very good. Everything looks very good. And you have great congressmen, congressmen and congressmen here. And we love Iowa. We love Iowa. And I guess I didn’t just give the farmers $12 billion, right?
President Trump will deliver a speech this afternoon in Clive, Iowa, to kick off his rally tour.
He is expected to make comments on the economy and affordability around 4:00 PM ET.
