His late burst not only dismantled Bangladesh’s lower order but also marked him as the second ever West Indian to claim a hat-trick in T20I cricket, after Jason Holder‘s feat in 2022. The Windies later chased down a modest total of 152 in just 16.5 overs, showing their dominance with both bat and ball throughout the series.

Taskin Ahmed‘s run-out on the last delivery ended the innings at 151, a score that once seemed to exceed 170. Shepherd’s effort will be remembered as one of the best death-over spells by a West Indian in recent T20I history, a true exhibition of composure under fire and bowling precision.

Chasing 152, West Indies stumbled to 52/3 early, but Roston Chase And Ackeem August combined to get the visitors back under control. Auguste played one of the most fearless knocks of his young career, smashing a half-century from 24 balls, peppered with clean strokes down the ground and over mid-wicket. Chase, on the other hand, showed maturity and composure and created an unbeaten fifty to guide the chase seamlessly.
