Watch: Jannik Sinner brings Center Court precision to the fairways of Dubai

Jannik Sinner continues to demonstrate that elite precision is not limited to one sport. World No. 2 enjoyed a few weeks off the pitch and headed to Dubai to work on his game before heading to Melbourne.

While he honed his strokes, Jannik also found time to embrace a different routine, far from hard courts and baseline drills. On a palm-tree-covered golf course overlooking calm waters, the Italian executed smooth, effortless swings.

The four-time Major champion brought the same balance and timing that define his tennis game to a golf club. Like many other players, the 24-year-old is enjoying the golf course, although he is probably still following Carlos Alcaraz.

As with everything he does, Jannik’s posture, rhythm and clean delivery looked professional and poised. The footage reminded us that perhaps his greatest strength is his ability to control movements, regardless of the environment.

A few days ago, world No. 2 trained together with compatriot Matteo Berrettini. He finished the season on a high note and will look to maintain that pace in the first month of the new season.

Sinner will not participate in the weeks leading up to the Australian Open. So he has a month to work hard on more improvements and put himself in a position where he can chase a third crown in a row in Melbourne.

While tennis remains the priority in the final weeks of 2025, Jannik will prepare for a new challenge in a month’s time. He and his team arranged a golf duel with Carlos Alcaraz and his coaches in Melbourne, which should make for a thriller on the green course.

Judging from his form in Dubai, Sinner could arrive with more than just tennis confidence. After all, whether on grass, hard court or fairway, precision always travels with the San Candido native!

Jannik and Carlos met six times in remarkable finals in 2025. The Italian recorded two victories and learned from his defeats. He raised his level after the US Open failure and finished the season with four trophies in the last five tournaments.

Sinner will travel to Melbourne as favorites in a bid to extend his winning streak Down Under and become the second player in the Open era after Novak Djokovic to win three straight titles.
