The Golden State Warriors and Second-Round Pick will have approved Richard to a four-year contract. The Warriors will sign Richard using the second round pick-exception. That deal comes with two fully guaranteed deals, with a team option in the fourth season.
Richard started 40 games in the Run from the University of Florida to the National Championship 2025. The 6-foot-4 average 13.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals as senior for the Gators. Golden State then selected Richard with the 56th Pick on the NBA design of 2025.
By signing Richard, it enables the Warriors to have him on the Roster of just $ 1.3 million this season. Because Richard was a design of the team, he will count for the luxury tax and tax apron calculations in his actual salary without tax variation.
Signing Richard, together with the obligations of Al Horford to a multi-year deal, and guards De’anthony Melton and Gary Payton II, have completed the Warriors selection in form prior to the preseason. Golden State will now have 14 players in their selection, with 13 players signed for standard contracts and a two -way stain filled.
The Warriors will probably postpone the signing of Richard, Horford, Melton and Melton until they have a resolution with limited free agent Jonathan Kuminga. The Free Agent Forward is confronted with a deadline of Wednesday 1 October to sign its qualifying offer. Golden State and Kuminga can still work out a short or long-term deal or can work together on finding a drawing and trade opportunity.
