Thailand reported his first deadly from Anthrax in 25 years, with four others infected by the bacteria.
It is thought that all those who are sick have sustained the disease after contact with infected cattle or animal products.
Anthrax, a disease that is famous for his ties with bioterrorism, is a life -threatening infection caused by the traces of the Bacillus Anthracis bacteria.
If these traces enter or scratches, they can spread through the body and produce toxins – known as cutaneous Anthrax – causing serious illness and death.
Four first cases of this spleenvuur, three men and one woman all in their mid -thirty to the end of the 1950s, were reported in Thailand last month.
One patient, a 53-year-old man according to local reports, was killed by the bacterial infection.
Thai health officials said that the man was looking for medical help for a lesion in his hand that developed almost two weeks after slaughter.
His condition quickly deteriorated as the cut became darker – a significant sign of the disease – with his lymph nodes swelling while he experienced dizziness and convulsions.

He died only three days after he initially sought help in a local hospital.
A fifth case was then detected on 28 May.
Three other patients, who had to be admitted to the hospital, made a complete recovery and fired.
Tests of samples taken from the patients, all from the province of Mukdahan in the northeast of the country – adjacent to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic – confirmed that they were infected with anilation.
Other tests of the kitchen utensils of the deceased and meat of the cattle also confirmed the presence of anilation.
Civil servants, racing to follow more cases, identified 636 others who run the risk of exposure to Anthrax, either by working with the infected cattle or eating his meat.
While two still got sick during this time with diarrhea and fever, testing on Anthrax came back negatively.

They have also rolled out a vaccination program for animals in the local environment in an attempt to prevent more cases.

Every year a handful of cases of Anthrax are reported in Great Britain.
According to the latest NHS data, three Anthrax had to be treated in England in 2023-2024.
None of these was the cutaneous Anthrax but instead linked to inhalation of Anthrax -Traces or Anthrax Sepsis, where traces immediately enter blood flow, as due to a needle in drug use.
