A ballistic rocket launched by Iran to Israel Early Thursday morning the Soroka Medical Center found a “direct hit” in some army radio, with victims and yet unknown.

UPDATE: Iran has recognized Damage the hospital, but claims, through the news agency of the Islamic Republic, which aimed for a military target, supposedly in the ‘GAV-Yam Technology Park’, next to the hospital.

According to Google Maps, the GAV Yam Technology Park is about a mile away from the Soroka hospital.

UPDATE: A source told Breitbart News that the building that was hit in the hospital was emptied because Soroka had reduced the number of patients to 40% on Wednesday to ensure that there would be enough space in “safe rooms” or bomb shelters. The rocket hit an area that connected different wings of the facility. “If the rocket had hit a few meters in a different direction [it] would have been terrible. “

Israel’s army radio confirmed the effects and reported that there was major damage in the hospital, although it was not known whether someone was injured. Hospitals, just like other large public buildings in Israel, are equipped with bomb hiding places.

Soroka is an important hospital in southern Israel that serves both a large Arab population and Jewish communities. It is also the only level 1 trauma center in the region, making it even more important.

Soroka has recently been in the news because it is a hospital that receives liberated Israeli hostages, and because it is the hospital that receives wounded Israeli soldiers from fighting against Hamas in the Gaza strip.

Army Radio reported that despite the fact that the Home Front Command had sounded the comprehensive, so that Israeli’s bombing places could leave, people were asked not to approach the hospital, not even before treatment.

Other missiles landed in the cities of Holon and Tel Aviv. Two spurages of ballistic rockets were reported, one of the thirty missiles and one of the twenty rockets – the largest launches that Iran had managed in several days.

The Israeli arrow -missile weather system managed to intercept most rockets, but the large number of missiles seems to have overwhelmed the defense, so that a few can avoid intercepts and affect Israel.

Shooting at a hospital is a war crime. Israel has carried out military operations against hospitals in Gaza, but they are commanded by Hamas terrorists, who themselves are a war crime, and also ensures that such facilities lose their protected status under international law.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has been working on constant operations to destroy the rocket throwers of Iran and its nuclear locations. Iran’s leaders had promised an aggressive attack on Israel.

UPDATE: Army Radio reported that the other rocket effects had so far only caused minor injuries, but that there was serious damage to the hospital and that the authorities were still assessing the situation.

Israeli military correspondent Doron Kadosh reported that the authorities had concluded that Iran had deliberately directed the hospital. Army Radio reported that different people were injured in different departments.

Army Radio later added that a resident in an old building in Holon was caught in ruins, but alive. Entire floors of the building were destroyed.

Army Radio later added that a four-storey building was hit in a older part of Holon-where some buildings are equipped with bombs, as required by more recent construction codes.

Army Radio added that – from one hour after the attack – no serious injuries had been reported in the hospital, but that the situation could change.

First reports from the hospital reported that the army was aimed at tackling the risk that the damaged building was still delivered; There were no reports of wounded patients or staff yet. “It could have been much worse,” Army Radio reported.

UPDATE: The Israeli president Isaac Herzog noticed in a statement: “Soroka Hospital, based in Be’er Sheva, is one of the best of Israel – serving the entire Nigev region, takes care of Israelis of all religious cases and our neighbors the Palestinians who are specifically treated.
