As runners, we also spend a lot of time on walking or walking on the paths that we call loving walking to make it sound much more intense. Because our team tested all kinds of things this year, we wanted to highlight a few things that we loved and that we liked and you should know!
From head to toe clothing to hydration and snacks to keep you going, this list has a bit of everything for your next walk. You can thank us later.
And let us know in the comments whether there is something you like that more people need to know.
Ibex Springbok Sun Hoodie
David has been in the Sun Hoodie for a long time, but it took me a little longer. Why? Because I assumed that I would be called!
Of course, Ibex has turned out to be an excellent choice of my training time and time again, so their new sunstap caught my attention. And it turns out that this is now on my list of Go to Gear for our big days on the paths. Listen, we have to learn to better protect our skin!
I foam on the face of sunscreen every 90 minutes, but now I give my arms a little extra love with something that is still extremely light and breathable.
We also test the Ibex Men’s Springbok Short, also designed for the summer, so note that in our running equipment in July !! That’s right, we have acceleration reviews in abundance.

Smartwool Hiking Shorts
This demolished me. They don’t feel wool. Are we sure they are wool?
What kind of magic has Smartwool done to feel it smooth and soft and have a metallic shine? I don’t know, but the loose fit and really breathable nature made them a winner. In addition to a walk, I actually wore them to sit on a few hot metal grandstands to look at the rodeo and it stopped getting things about it, will we say … swampy ???
Definitely a winner combined with our Favorite running underwear. You will be dry and airy and look cute. The looser that fits around the thighs is also more accommodating for our active ladies.

Bombas Socks
Whoop Whootpp We have to talk about socks !! I am not sure when they went from boring to terribly exciting, but here we are and of course we are always happy to also offer a discount.
In terms of fit, one of the things that distinguishes Bombas is their honey combbow. It is a nice fit and a little support. These socks are also generally under the dressed, which can help so much in preventing hotspots when walking downhill after the big climb.Bonus points for supporting a brand that donates a pair for every pair purchased.

The Sportiva Trail Vest 5L
Wearing hydration and fuel on trail runs is a must. Unfortunately, some hydration packages feel a bit too thick, catching in warmth and sweat.
The La Sportiva 5L Trail Vest is a great option for summer outings. The vest is lightweight and has a mesh back, making it feel very breathable.
The vest comes with two 17 oz hydroflasks that neatly put in the front pockets and stay safe thanks to an elastic loop that is designed to keep them in place. The hydratation sacks also have a little foam filling where the bottle cap is to rub or prevent discomfort.
It was easy to get a safe bounce-free fit, even with two full pumps thanks to the hook closures of the elastic bungee style at the front. This vest does not come with a bladder, but it has a bag on the back and makes closure to keep it in place if you want to take one with you.
I found the storage bags carefully designed. Two zip pockets at the front were the perfect place to store my phone and keys, and the smaller bag near the shoulder had a built -in whistle.
A transit pocket on the back and two extra stretch bags at the front make it easy to store fuel or other Run supplies. The vest also has two Bungees on the back that can be used to protect posts or extra clothing items.

Nathan Run Cooling Stash Hat
The Nathan Run Cool Stash Hat is a great running hat to add to your collection if you are looking for something light with the added bonus of some unexpected functions.
The Run Cool Stash hat is an ultra -light running hat, ideally made for during the day runs in the summer heat. It has mesh panels on each side for breathable capacity, and it is made of a light, moisture drainage material to keep you cool during your run.
There is also a great sweat -consolidation pool from the inside to keep sweat out of your eyes. This hat is not only a decent looking, classic running hat, but has a side pocket for storage – yes, bags in a hat!
If someone who loves a good dress with bags, imagine my surprise when the simple -looking hat arrived at my door and I realized that I could store my running supplies in it. The side on the Run Cool Stash Hat is in no way large, but it is a great place to throw in some ice on a warm day, to cut a reflector or light for early morning runs, or to put it in a key or other small items along the way.
I think it’s great that you can fill the side pocket with ice to cool down on those hot summer runs, something that I think I will wear a little longer if we go hotter in hotter months.

Outdoor Research Ferrosi Duraprint Hoodie
Okay, we know that we have promised warm weather trail equipment, but there are important for those walking in the mountains, even during the summer months!
I have tried the Ferrosi Duraprint Hoodie in recent months and it was a great layering option.
The lightweight, stretchable fabric offers incredible breathable capacity and light weather protection, perfect for running on those somewhat cold days. I even use it as my outer layer when skating skating or the mountain of skin.
It has Duraprint® technology in areas with a high wear such as the shoulders, adding extra sustainability when wearing my vest for longer training days. The elastic cuffs and hood can go down to keep the elements out, and the three pockets with zipper have safe essentials.
It is wind, water -resistant and breathable, making it a great option for days with high output when the weather is mixed. The only major fall is that it retains odor. It is an item that often has to be washed.
If you are looking for a jacket to throw in your walking equipment for extra layers, this will be a great option!
