This year, the ATP is announcing changes to the ATP Awards, designed to increase the prestige and excitement of the season’s most celebrated awards.

For the first time, members of the exclusive ATP No. 1 Club – the 29 current and former players who have reached world number 1 – determine the winners of Breakthrough of the Year and the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award.

The new Breakthrough of the Year category goes to the player who has made the biggest breakthrough on the ATP Tour this season, taking into account milestone wins, significant jumps in the PIF ATP Rankings and first ATP Tour titles. Although there are no age restrictions, the Award is intended for Next Gen and young players.
