- Volvo has released more details about the updates for the 2026 EX90 electric SUV.

The Volvo EX90 is receiving extensive updates for its second model year and we now have more details about the updated electric SUV, including powertrain specs and pricing. A single-motor, rear-wheel drive base model is added to the range, dropping the EX90’s base price below $80,000. This update adds to the EX90’s new 800-volt electrical architecture, faster charging, software updates and the power bump for the flagship Twin Motor Performance dual-motor model previously announced.
The lineup now starts with the $78,090 EX90 Single Motor, which produces 329 horsepower. The EX90 Twin Motor, starting at $81,390, has dual electric motors, all-wheel drive and 449 horsepower, up from 402 horsepower before. The EX90 Twin Motor Performance starts at $86,390 and now boasts 670 horsepower, a huge increase over the previous model’s 510 horsepower.
Volvo has also changed the EX90’s battery packs for 2026. Although we don’t have official EPA range ratings for any of the configurations yet, Volvo previously shared CD that the 2026 EX90 Twin Motor’s maximum range would drop from 310 to 305 miles due to a smaller 102 kWh battery pack. We should get more information on this as we get closer to the 2026 EX90’s US on-sale date.
