Digital Payment Platform, Viyona Fintech, has received approval from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to work as an external application provider (TPPER).

The approval accelerates the Viyona’s growth plans established in Hyderabad to offer Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services in collaboration with partner banks, thereby further expanding access to digital payments in Tier III and disadvantaged rural markets in India.

“This approval reflects NPCI’s confidence in our fintech requests to make UPI payments more accessible to farmers, shopkeepers and households. Via Graampay and the Farmers Marketplace, we are aimed at offering simple and safe financial tools that support both urban and disadvantaged rural communities.

The Viyona flagship product, Graampay, is designed to meet the unfulfilled digital payment needs in the India countryside. The platform enables farmers, small traders and local communities to carry out digital collections, payouts and UPI transactions. It also supports national e-commerce and promotes financial literacy through a network of entrepreneurs at village level (meat).

As part of its expansion strategy, Viyona is preparing for a farmers market within his Graampay platform. The new function will connect farmers directly to buyers, aimed at improving price transparency, accelerating settlements and expanding access to upi-based payments.
