Almost three months after the parties in Bengaluru became fatal, Virat Kohli spoke publicly for the first time about the Stormloop that 11 lives claimed during the victory event of Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on 4 June.

In an emotional note shared by the franchise on Wednesday, Kohli said that the tragedy what a historic moment should have been for RCB changed.

“Nothing in life really prepares you for a heartache like June 4,” he wrote, adding that he constantly thought of the families who have lost beliefs and the injured fans.

Kohli described the loss as now being part of the team’s journey. “Your loss is now part of our story. Together we will continue with care, respect and responsibility,” he said.

RCB also announced steps under their newly launched foundation, RCB Cares, which is central to the team’s response.

Each surviving relatives receives £ 25 lakh of compensation. But after the financial support, the initiative is aimed at long -term security measures and honoring fans.

According to the franchise, the plan includes an annual crowd-feitetic training for staff, fan safety audits and independent research into public safety at sporting events.

RCB is also planning to create permanent stadium jobs to support local communities and to retain the memory of the fans who died by being part of the history of the club.

The franchise said it will collaborate with the IPL and Karnataka State Cricket Association to place these measures, although the government’s approval is still required.
