You might remember the viral apartment that the internet had in a spider – the one with the, Ahem, conveniently located toilet directly in the kitchen.
Well, because the Saga has taken a pronounced non -glamorous turn.
The real estate, a building of millions of dollars in Northern Aldaide, was seized by recipients in the midst of a debt conflict involving the owner, accountant Nicholas Birdseye.
Birdseye, who is no stranger to confuse with the tax man, has the building owns for almost 20 years.
But ASIC records now show that his company, Sinbird nominees, is in the hands of recipients, involved by commercial creditor Maxiron Capital from Sydney.
While Birdseye runs his accountancy firm of the ground floor, it is the studio above that the imagination (and perhaps a pair of stomach) really recorded in 2022.
If for rent on realestate.com.au for $ 400- $ 420 a week, the apartment had a “spacious, fully equipped” layout.

But the real conversation point was the “bathroom” – a glass box, mat for a limitation of privacy, right next to the kitchen.
“Blue” and reminiscent of “Your first custom house in the Sims” were just a few of the online reactions to the, will we say, unconventional design.
But the toilet-in-the-kitchen is only one chapter in the bizarre history of this building.
Birdseye itself has a colorful past, including a fine of $ 1000 last year for not providing documents to the ATO.
He was also beaten as a registered tax agent in 2020 after an investigation, and has an earlier order for the Community for not paying wage tax.
Broker Rachel Lawrie, who listed the property in 2022, defended the apartment as a practical solution for tenants who have difficulty finding accommodation.

“This is a fantastic interim person who will help people who need a rental record,” she said at the time.
But now the future of real estate is uncertain.
Will the next owner with recipients embrace the idiosyncratic kitchen looocombo? Or will they finally send it to the history books?
One thing is certain: this property of Adelaide has proven that when it comes to real estate, sometimes the most memorable functions are the ones that you expect the least – or perhaps, least.
