Bihar eclipsed Tamil Nadu’s previous List A record of 506/2 in 2022 against the same opposition in the same competition. There were three centurions from the side including batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, wicketkeeper-batsman Ayush Loharuka and skipper Sakibul Gani.

Suryavanshi’s blistering 84-ball, 190-run knock made him the youngest centurion in List A cricket, aged 14 years and 272 days. Gani, on the other hand, reached his ton in just 32 deliveries. This made him the fastest Indian centurion in the 50-over format. Gani remained unbeaten on 128 off 40 deliveries.
Suryavanshi, Loharuka and Gani amassed 434 runs of Bihar’s final total of 574. The fielding team conceded 18 extras. Dheeraj Antin was Sikkim’s most economical bowler. He conceded 81 runs in his nine overs. The opening duo of Mibom Mosu and Suryansh Singh conceded a total of 214 runs in 18 overs. They bowled nine overs each.
Chasing an improbable target of 575 runs, Arunachal Pradesh were dismissed for a paltry 177, losing the match by a record margin of 397 runs. Akash Raj and Suraj Kashyap took three wickets each, while Hiamnshu Tiwari and Shabbir Khan got two and one respectively in an utterly dominant performance with the ball after the record-breaking performance with the bat.
