With two of the world’s best drivers in one cockpit, you believe the best that the GTD was pushed to the limit.
Ford Performance is preparing for his triumphant return to the largest phases of Motorsport, such as Formula 1, and continues to stack on the track projects that contribute to his inheritance and history in racing. The Ford calendar quickly fills with deliveries and track sessions, from the release of his long -awaited Mustang GTD to preparing its place at the F1 -Raster in 2026 with a Red Bull Racing Partnership. And to touch all the new things that happen at Ford and Red Bull Racing, Automotive Journalist Chris Harris recently brought some time behind the steering wheel of the previous and future four-wheel icons by in addition to Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen in the latest YouTube video of Ford Performance. The ultimate goal of testing the Ford Mustang GTD on course in the south of France starts with a tough living traffic in a Ford RS200.
Because we are the deep thinking, passionate car that we all grew into its in -depth reviews, and some of the most powerful cars pushed to their borders, Chris Harris used his time with Max to get answers to some of the questions he wanted to ask. Whether it concerns lessons of his young age, go-kart training on the circuit with his father, or breaking down the stairs of an R-style racing line, gave insight into the upbringing and continuous training that is needed to become and retain his role as a winning Formula 1 driver. Another interesting topic of discussion that the two talked about in the hot cabin of a homologated group B Road Car Was Max’s various racing career and how his style of driving differs between cars and their classes. He does not consider it to be described and has only really reached by feeling and knowing the boundaries, either in his Red Bull Racing RB21 car or while GT3 racet under the alias ‘Franz Hermann’.

Arriving at the small French racing track, was the first that Max’s eye pulled the lively blue finish on the GTD and called the shadow a ‘spicy color’. Behind the wheel Max Verstappen immediately gets to work. Instead of gradually learning the layout, he digs in every corner, finding out where the grip is and not, while he pushes the car harder at every round. The Ford Mustang GTD matches its style, uses rough surfaces with confidence and gets the best out of its brakes and sticky tires. It is the kind of driving that shows how naturally talented it is and how capable the GTD is when it is used properly. Chris Harris rode, really seemed impressed by the car and the ability of Verstappen to make it dance around the circuit as second nature.
