Khabib Nurmagomedov leaked the following fight by Islam Makhachev during a Q&A session at his event on Saturday evening (August 2, 2025) in New York City.
This weekend, Nurmagomedov was back for another special event entitled, “An evening with Khabib Nurmagomedov,” It is described as a night of faith, empowerment and inheritance. The former UFC champion talks to fighting, life and opens the floor to tackle what his fans have in mind.
Along the way the name of Makhachev was raised and Nurmagomedov was asked when the former UFC light weight champion will fight afterwards. Makhachev, that leave his belt of 155 pounds Earlier this year it is expected that the current UFC champion Welterweight champion Jack della Maddalena will fight later this year, but nothing has been completed. Rumors have presented the two could meet on top of UFC’s pay-per-view (PP) card in November in Madison Square GardenBut Vecht fans have waited for an official announcement.
Well, Khabib has just leaked the big plans of UFC.
Nurmagomedov not only confirmed that Makhachev will be back in action very quickly, but he revealed that it would take place in Madison Square Garden (which would be UFC 322). One of Khabib’s team members tried to roll back his comments and prevent him from said something else, but Nurmagomedov did not feel that he was doing something wrong.

“This is his deal with UFC, I don’t have a deal with UFC, this is his problem,” said Khabib. “But we are dealing with UFC that he is going to fight in Madison Square Garden.”
