After Joel Marshall (Max Murray) brutally attacked Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) in EastEnders, she made the decision to end her relationship with his father Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw).
When she learned that the teen would plead not guilty to her assault, necessitating a full trial, Vicki hit the bottle hard and found herself firmly at odds with Damon (Danny Szam), Chelsea Fox’s date (Zaraah Abrahams) and the entire sleaze ball.
After calling him out for having a wife and trying to spike Chelsea’s drink without her knowledge, she later followed him to the laundromat where he started spewing the same vile rhetoric as Joel. She shoved him hard and he fell unconscious after hitting his head on a washing machine.
Zack Hudson (James Farrar) arrived and immediately sprang into action, using Damon’s phone to gather evidence of his womanizing and blackmailing him into keeping quiet about the clash with Vicki. With his back against the wall, Damon agreed.

When she got home, Vicki finally opened up about how she had suffered and how Joel had made her feel terrified, weakened, and pathetic. Vicki felt protected and safe in a way Ross couldn’t have forced her to, and thanked Zack for caring for her and the two locked lips.
Although discovered and chastised by Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), the two exchanged flirty text messages later that evening.
This makes fans feel quite uncomfortable. Zack is Sharon Watts’ (Letitia Dean) half-brother and Vicki is her adoptive sister, so you’re absolutely right in thinking they shouldn’t get near each other.
Unfortunately, it seems like they won’t be able to help themselves in the coming episodes.

Before Joel’s trial, Vicki tells Zack how much she fears the coming days. He decides to invite her to his flat while he practices some new dishes for the pub. Vicki is grateful for the distraction and Zack’s kindness.
The next day, Vicki’s head remains a mess. She heads to court with Ross and the newly returned Mark Fowler Jnr (Stephen Aaron Sipple), and is surprised when Zack makes a last-minute attempt to join them.
If Joel’s trial doesn’t end in Vicki’s favor, will she end up in Zack’s arms?
