Dipper’s childhood home is being auctioned in Hawthorn and goes under the hammer at 10am today.
Melbourne is set to end the spring auction market with a bang as almost 1600 homes test the market, including a few properties linked to VFL premiership stars.
At 10 a.m., the home where Robert Dipper DiPierdomenico grew up after his family migrated to Australia goes under the hammer, with expectations it could sell for $3.1 million to $3.4 million.
With five VFL premierships and a Brownlow Medal to his name, Dipper is one of the code’s most successful athletes. He recently revealed on social media that the house at 71 Mason St is where he and his brother got their first football kicks and first bowl of a cricket ball.

Scott Patterson of Kay & Burton is handling the sale and said that, along with Dipper’s brother Dino, who bought the house about 40 years ago, it had been in the DiPierdomenico family for more than 60 years.
“And Dipper grew up there, went to the local primary school and kicked the ball in the park across the road and became a Brownlow Medalist,” Mr Patterson said.
The open living room at the rear of the house is a bit different than when the DiPierdomenico brothers grew up there.
The house has a garden full of greenery.
