Vetts England players dominated the Veterans Home Nations Championships 2025 and won a total of 36 of the 50 gold and silver medals that were disputed between the seven home countries in team, singles and doubles events.
The Veterans Home Nations Championships were organized and organized by the Vetts volunteers with the support of Turners-Distribution and was held at Nottingham Trent University in September 2025.
The Vetts welcomed teams, supporters and representatives from Guernsey; Island of man; Ireland; Jersey; Scotland and Wales for a weekend of very competitive table tennis among the top players of the countries, combined with a social atmosphere to renew friendships and make new people.
The Vetts England teams have been selected from Vetts members who played at least three Vetts Masters events in the season are eligible to play for an English province, have not represented any other nation in the last three years -and then ranking on strict Vetts.
As hosts, the Vetts England team, captain went through John Poysden, A and B teams in all Bar One’s events and took gold in all eight team events -O/40’s men and women; O/50s men and women; O/60s men and women; O/70s Open and O/75 Open and Silver in six of the eight events.
In the singles, Stewart Crawford (Scotland) and Rita Kacsandi (Ireland) took gold in the men’s and ladies’ hers of the O/40 respectively after they have fought close by with final against Vetts England, Adam Fuzes and Hurey Ahmetoglu. Vetts England claimed the other seven singles titles.
In the doubles it was a clean sweeping of gold for the hosts.
Remarkable golden hat tricks of victories in the team, singles and Doubles go to Vetts England players Jason Ramage (O/50S) and Tim Dyson (O/60s).

Before you refer to the honorary role for the winners and second place, there is another honorary bread that deserves recognition – who of the Vetts volunteers who have given their time and expertise to make this event happen:
- John Hook who worked for months to bring this together as our project manager
- Debby Auvache who has managed everything to the last detail to create a wonderful presentation evening and gala dinner
- Kim Mudge, who interrupted her vacation to become our tournament referee, and together with her hard-working team of Michael Stewart, Viv Barry and Cliff Bell, the event with professionalism and good humor delivered

- Jason Ramage, who had contact with Nottingham Trent University to offer the location (as well as winning three gold)
- Gymners distribution for their generous contribution to the VETTS costs when hosting this event
