SUMMER SIDE, PE – The Tuesday race card at Red Shores Summerside Raceway has no shortage of class, highlighted by a deep $4,300 pace in top condition in race 12.
The 13-dash card starts at 6 p.m
The eight year old son of American Ideal lines up from post 4 in the Race 12 feature for trainer George Rennison after a solid third place in the Truro half-miler in 1:55.2 for owner Risky Bizz Group of Truro, NS. The 52-time winner triumphed earlier in the season in 1:53.2 over his home base at Truro Raceway in Bible Hill, NS Brady Sweet is in the driver’s seat for Tuesday’s race.
His opposition includes Howmac Exclusive (managed by Corey MacPherson), who has hit the board in his last five starts for trainer Leslie Waite, and Sauble Attack (Ken Murphy) from post 5, who beat this class two weeks ago.
The field also includes Freemans Legacy (Jaycob Sweet), Howmac Maximus (Paul Langille) and Doc Awesome (Adam Merner) in what should be one of the most evenly matched tilts of the evening.
The Backstretch Beat puts American Risk at the top as it looks for lifetime earnings number 53.
“American Risk is a stylish campaigner who has spent most of the year tackling tougher company and finds a softer landing spot here. He is a proven winner on almost any maritime surface and is more than capable of wiring this field if he gets to the front early. Expect Brady Sweet to release him from the wings and try to control the pace from there.”
Race 11 precedes the feature with a cash prize of $3,650 for higher-end pacers. Howmac Charmer is the top selection with post 4 for trainer Kyle Williams and catch driver Adam Merner for Ontario owner Doug Williams. His biggest rivals include Louie The Great (MacPherson) and Brokeandoutofgas (Langille).
