Zinc India also marked its best Q2-wandered metal production at 258 KT, while Zink International reported a robust yo-jersprong in the production of 38% up to 60 KT.
The performance of the second quarter also includes the highest ever PIG-iron production ever at 238 KT, which registered an increase of 26% Jojer.
With these operational milestones, Vedanta underlined the Standage Momentum in his diversified portfolio, supported by operational efficiency and newly commissioned electricity capacities such as Meenakshi 1000 MW and Athena 600 MW units, which are now fully functional.
Here is a segmenting update about the updates of the second quarter of the company:
Aluminum and aluminum oxide
Vedanta achieved the highest quarterly aluminum oxide production ever at 653 KT, a sharp increase of 31% yej of 499 KT in Q2 FY25, powered by record output at the Lanjigarh refinery. The production of aluminum was 617 kt, marginal with 1% yoj of 609 kt. With aluminum operations, Jharsuguda contributed 467 kt (an increase of 2% yoj), while Balco added 150 kt, remained stable compared to 149 kt a year ago. For the first half (H1) the total aluminum production was 1,222 kt, almost flat with the previous year.
Zinc India
In Zinc India, the metal production of the metal 1% yoj rose to 258 kt, the highest ever for a second quarter. However, the salable metal output fell by 6% yo-yo of 246 kt due to lower refined lead and silver volumes.
Refined zinc rose 2% yoj to 202 KT, while the refined lead fell sharply by 29% yoj to 45 kt.
In the meantime, the silver production fell 22% yo -t to 144 tons (4.6 mn ounces).
For H1 FY26, the metal production content was 523 kt, also a record, an increase of 1% compared to the previous year.
Zinc International
Zink International yielded strong growth, with total mined metal production 38% yoj up to 60 kt in Q2 FY26, compared to 44 KT in Q2 FY25. This was largely powered by an increase of 54% in Gamsberg output to 49 kt, while BMM fell slightly by 5% yoj to 11 kt.
For the six months, production rose by 44% JoJ to 117 kt.
Oil and gas
The oil and gas activities of Vedanta saw decreases during the quarter. Average daily gross -operated production fell 15% yoj to 89.3 kboepd, compared to 104.9 kboepd in Q2 FY25. Rajasthan Fields contributed 70.9 kboepd, with 17% JoJ, while Ravva dropped 25% yoj to 8.2 kboepd. The production of Cambay, on the other hand, rose 38% yoj to 6.6 kboepd.
Based on the basis of working interest, production fell by 15% yoj to 58.2 kboepd.
Iron ore and Pig Iron
The production of iron ore decreased due to weather disturbances of the weather conditions. The output of the salable ors fell by 19% yoj to 1.1 mn tons, while the turnover decreased 33% JoJ to 0.7 mn tons.
However, Pig -iron achieved a record high with production by 26% yoj to 238 KT in Q2, helped by Hoogoven Debottlenecking.
Steel
The steel division reported a decrease of 8% yoj in the production of the finished steel up to 274 KT, against 296 KT in Q2 FY25. In this, the iron output from the ride 53% jujen fell to 41 kt, while the Billets rose by 43% yoj to 232 kt. The production of the TMT rod and the wire rod rose by 18% and 59% yoj, while ductile iron legs fell by 87% yoj.
Knob
Ferro Alloys Corporation (FACOR) achieved an increase in ORE production by 24% at 47 kt. However, the output of Ferro Chrome fell by 28% JoJ to 19 kt due to a planned closure of one month.
Copper India
The production of copper cathode was marginally lower, at 40 kt in Q2 FY26, by 3% yo -JJ fall from 41 kt. The decline was attributed to temporary problems with the purchasing of raw materials.
Current
Power sales fell slightly, with the total turnover by 2% yo -yo to 4,331 mn units in Q2. TSP contributed 2,789 mN units, a decrease of 3% yoj, while the turnover of Jharsuguda and Balco fell 57% and 50% Joj respectively.
The newly used Meenakshi 1000 MW unit supplied 459 MN units, while the 600 MW factory of Athena contributed 336 mn units in the first quarter of the operation.
