Now that my Kalamazoo college Park-US Open Stretch has been completed, it’s time to breathe in the coming weeks. I will prepare another “thoughts about” for the US Open, probably next week, with the one I wrote at Wimbledon this year and turned out to be a popular post.
There is not much to check in the meantime, with the USTA pro circuit on a three-week US Open Hiatus, with the women who extend for four weeks, with nothing next week.
But there is one ATP Challenger 75 in Winston-Salem This week, with qualifying start today.

Goode will be confronted with the University of Virginia Second-year Jangjun Kim van Korea, who defeated former Ohio State nr. 1 Justin Boulais of Canada and no. 9 Seed 4-6, 6-0, 6-3. Mosejczuk plays no. 4 seed Edward Winter or Australia, a junior at Pepperdine, who defeated the senior Corey Craig of Florida State 6-1, 6-0. Kim used a Junior ATP Accelerator spot for access and Craig used a collegial ATP rapider spot.
Daniel Milavsky (Harvard), Cooper Williams (Harvard, Duke), Joshua Sheehy (Abilene Christian), Quinn Vandecasteele (Oregon) and strong Kirchheimer (northwestern) are other Americans who have also been demanded for the last round of qualification.
The wildcards for the main table were given to Luca Pow, a junior at Wake Forest, Emon van Loben Sels, a junior at UCLA and Patrick Maloney (Michigan). OHIO State Junior Aidan Kim uses collegial ATP rapper entry for the main drawing.
Juan Pablo Ficovich from Argentina is the number 1 seed, with Murphy Cassone (Arizona State), sown no. 2. Mitchell Krayer, the number 3 seed, is the third ATP -TOP 200 player in the draw.
The ITA announced on Friday That his Di Women’s Operating Committee had voted to leave the ITA ITA Ladies National Team Indoor title Oklahoma State in February 2024. This was expected after the NCAA arrangement with the state of Oklahoma was announced in JulyWith the holiday of titles part of that settlement. The full report of the NCAA is here.
Carlos Alcaraz of Spain defeated Jannik Sinner of Italy 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the final of the US Open men this afternoon, to earn a split of the four large titles this year, just as they had done last year.
