USTA Florida is governed by a volunteer board of directors with a wealth of experience, a tremendous passion for sharing the love of tennis and a big heart for helping people in the state of Florida.
The organization is looking for people who want to take the lead on the board and committee in 2027 and 2028. Below you can read step-by-step how the application process for the board works.
- The application phase starts on February 2 and closes on March 1.
- All entries will be reviewed and those selected will be contacted for a virtual interview. This will take place between April 1 and 30.
- Those selected for the USTA Florida board will advance to a final interview, which will take place in person at the Nominating Committee on June 6 or 7 in Orlando.
- It is important to note that candidates must adhere to these dates and be available for interviews if they make it to the final round.
- The list for the board will be published on July 1 and will be finalized on August 18.
- The 2027-2028 USTA Florida Board of Directors will be introduced at the Virtual Annual Membership Meeting on December 5, 2026.

What makes you eligible? All you have to do is be a member of USTA Florida, have knowledge of the Florida tennis landscape and be passionate about developing the sport.
There are a few positions open on the USTA Florida board. Applications are being accepted for president, chief executive officer, past president, secretary, president-elect and treasurer.
Those who apply for the Nominating Committee will review applications for the 2027-2028 Board of Directors and conduct interviews with candidates.
