Dubai, VAE (October 3, 2025) – There are two new ones PFL World champions after today’s PFL Champions series: Road to Dubai-It Rematch event in Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.
The most important event met expectations, such as Usman Nurmagomedov (20-0, 1 AD) and Paul Hughes (14-3) Kwadraaten for their long-awaited Rematch 2025. Like their first meeting, the fight went the full 25 minutes, and again the Nurmagomedov was retained, which caused a hard events to make a heavy-evil.
While the championship rounds unfolded, Nurmagomedov’s characteristic calmness and the ability to dictate the pace proved the difference. Hughes gathered with part of his best insult, but it was not enough to cancel the scor cards of the jury members. With the victory, Nurmagomedov not only reinforced its dominance in the lightweight division, but has also etched another chapter in what quickly became one of the determining rivalry of the PFL.
The PFL Light Heavyweight World Title Clash between Corey Anderson (20-6) and Devlet Yagshimuradov (25-8-1) served as a rematch of their Bellator World Grand Prix Quarterfinal from 2021, which Anderson won through the third round. This time the fight started with two separate eye pokes from Yagshimuradov. When Anderson recovered, the Turkmen hunter lusbits landed who found their mark. However, when the Co-Main event settled, the former Bellator champion leaned on its struggle and checked the action of the upper position for the remaining four rounds. Anderson’s dominance earned him a unanimous decision, with which he marked his fourth consecutive victory and third since he joined the PFL. With the victory, Anderson won the PFL Light Heavyweight World Championship.
In a Bantamweight-Eliminator to decide the next challenger to be crowned PFL Bantamweight world champion, Magomed Magomedov (21-5) was opposed to former Bellator champion Sergio Pettis (25-7). Magomedov controlled a lot of the opening round with its characteristic wrestling, but Pettis turned the tide with a perfectly timed spinning elbow, followed by a brutal punch that handed Magomedov the first KO/TKO loss of his 26-Fight career. After the stunning finish, Pettis wasted not time to name his shot: “I want the winner of the tournament, [Marcirley] Alves. Come on PFL in Milwaukee. ‘
Two old Bellator-striking, Archie Colgan (13-0) and Jay-Jay Wilson (11-2), collided in lightweight action on Friday that turned out to be just as competitive as expected. Wilson opened strongly and established his front stairs, while Colgan answered with his characteristic wrestles and an early branchedown secure. As the fight progressed, the alum of the University of Wyoming steadily raised his will, the kiwi ran down and in general picked up nine Takedowns. Although Wilson remained active with his back, the jury members chose the side of Colgan, who kept his unbeaten record intact. With the victory, Colgan has positioned itself as a potential leader to challenge the PFL Lightweight World title.
The first fight on the main map saw the English Jack Cartwright (13-2) stepping into Caolan Loughran van Ireland (10-3) in the short term. Cartwright checked the promotion early, with the help of sharp combinations to surpass his opponent and to secure the first two rounds on the jury’s score cards. Loughran was successful in the third, landed a Takedown and maintained top control, but the rally came too late. Cartwright earned the victory in his PFL debut with a composed and disciplined version.
