USHDC and Stac join forces at Shenandoah

Woodstock, Virginia, September 21, 2025… The American Harness Drivers Club and the Southern Tier Amateur Club in New York combined forces on Saturday afternoon, September 20 to offer a memorable afternoon of Harnasraces in Shenandoah Downs.

Not only was the club competition at its peak in their two heat of battle, the Dee Lineweaver of Shenandoah Down ensured that no fewer than four local charity organizations were recognized with donations to their respective causes – the Standardbred Racing Investigative Funde Muhlan, the Fffies, Puruti.

Jeff Schaefer and Dein Spriggs won their respective events, but asked the donations ‘Central’ this afternoon.

The Standardbred Racing Investigative Fund, is a national non-profit organization of 501 (C) (3) that finances investigations into illegal and fraudulent activities in the harness racing industry.

Shenandoah Local Mincies works with religious communities and existing agencies to strengthen outreach programs and services for aging, baby and young people.

Peter Muhlenberg Middle School helps students to achieve fully potential, aimed at literacy, to build meaningful relationships that lead to positive contributions to their school and community.

Finally, Seven Bends Russian is an organization of the civilian service that PF has prepared local clubs with the focus on making communities a better place to live and work via Fellowship and Goodwill.

Winning drivers Schaefer and Spriggs repeated each other’s comments that reflect on the importance of every organization and the role that our amateur clubs play in fulfilling the needs of the many charities that have helped more than a quarter of a century – from local communities to national outreach programs.
