The Pistons have a six-game lead over the Knicks in the standings. However, after losing the first two games of the year in Detroit, this is a chance for New York to show its dominance in Madison Square Garden against the top seed in the East in a potential postseason preview. The Knicks went 10-2 over their last 12 games before the All-Star break, highlighted by a 49-point win over the 76ers in the final game.
