Jannik Sinner will be on Red Alert with Alexander Bublik on the other side of the net before their US Open Fourth round game on Monday. Lorenzo Musetti and Jaume Munar also strive for a place in the quarterfinals.
(1) Jannik Sinner vs. (23) Alexander Bublik
Bublik can be arranged outside the top 20, but he is perhaps the only player other than Carlos Alcaraz who is left in the US Open that is able to defeat Sinner, even if the sinner plays well. The 28-year-old Kazakhse gets that chance when he faces the world number 1 on Monday during the campaign of the fourth round. It marks their seventh meeting, and Bublik ia respectable 2-4 lifespan in the head-to-head series with a 2-1 record in their last three meetings. The World No. 24 won their most recent matchup on the grass courts of Stuttgart earlier this summer via a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 decision.
Of course that result was not a huge shock considering the surface and because the Sinner came a heartbreaking loss for Alcaraz at Roland Garros, where the Italian Bublik 6-1, 7-5, 6-0 crushed on the way to the final. The sinner should be much better for this, although he looked somewhat vulnerable during a 5-7, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 victory over Denis Shapovalov on Saturday. Bublik knew Marin Cilic and Tristan Schoolkate in simple straight sets before he was survived in five in five in five on Saturday evening. This is the selection framework of the entire fourth round and it should live up to the hype on the field, but the sinner – as he did against Shapovalov – will probably increase his level in Crunch time.

(10) Lorenzo Musetti vs. Jaume Munar
Musetti has played an absolute role that goes back to last spring. The Italian is a maximum of number 10 in the world and he would be arranged even higher than not for some incidental injury problems. Musetti is a French Open (2025) and Wimbledon (2024) semi -final and he has a great chance to reach at least the quarters at Flushing Meadows in a part of the trek that is abandoned by Jack Draper. The 23-year-old mainly made work by Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard and David Goffin before he received a third set of pension from Flavio Cobolli, so he is completely well equipped on his way to week two.

Next for Musetti is a sixth meeting with Munar, which leads the head-to-head series 4-1 in general and 2-1 on the main tour. Most matches, however, came long before Musetti everything came close to the player he is today. Munar did not do much on hard courts this summer before he arrived in New York, but he improved with victories over Jaime Faria, Gabriel Diallo and Zizou Bergs. Unfortunately for the 44th rank Spaniard, this version of Musetti is a completely different opponent than Faria, Diallo and Bergs.
