The US Naval Academy in Maryland can be locked in the midst of unconfirmed reports of a threat and shots fired on campus.
“Naval Support Activity Annapolis, in coordination with local law enforcement, currently responds to reports of threats to the Naval Academy,” a spokesperson told Wbal. “The basis is on the way to an abundance of caution. This is a developing situation and we will offer updates as soon as they become available.”
Campus sources told Fox News, a Midshipman who was kicked out of the Service Academy, had returned to Annapolis with a weapon, and that shots were fired in Bancroft Hall, who houses students.
“The shooter is knocking on doors that occur as a military police officer,” a source told the broadcaster.
