Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla joined the Board of Directors of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (Usispf) as a member of its Executive Committee, said the forum in a statement on Saturday.The appointment came weeks after Birla was awarded the Global Leadership Award on the UsisPF Leadership Summit 2025 in Washington, DC, as recognition for his contribution to strengthening the business ties of the VS-India, PTI reported.In a statement, Birla said that Usispf had become a “strong strength” in shaping and strengthening the strategic and economic ties between the US and India and his work in promoting dialogue, cooperation and trust between the two nations made a meaningful difference. “The partnership between the US India is one of the most consistent partnerships in the world,” he said, adding that Aditya Birla Group is committed to growing his investments in the US.“We are very proud to be the largest Indian investor in the US … When our two countries come together with goal and clarity, they can shape the arch of global trade and innovation,” he said, quoted PTI.Usispf said that Aditya Birla Group is the largest Indian Greenfield investor in the United States with more than $ 15 billion in investments and activities in 15 states, in sectors such as metal, carbon black and chemicals.The American subsidiary is the world’s largest aluminum recycling company and an important player in reviving the American production sector, used Usispf.Usispf chairman John Chambers welcomes Birla in the Executive Committee and said that his presence will help “Usispf to new horizon and unknown paths.”Vice chairman and Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen added that Birla’s leadership and investment philosophy corresponds to the objectives of the Forum to promote mutual prosperity through innovation and development.Usispf President Mukesh Aghi praised Birla’s philanthropic focus and said that his belief in the Gandhian principle of Trusteeship is noticeable. “We look forward to working with Birla to shape the next chapter of the VS-India Strategic Partnership,” he said.Under the leadership of Birla in the past three decades, the Aditya Birla Group has grown into a multinational of $ 66 billion in 40 countries, with a market capitalization of more than $ 100 billion.
