In March, Yechiel Leiter, the ambassador of Israel in the United States, canceled his participation In the launch of a proposal from a Heritage Foundation to change the paradigm of the US-Israeli military relations.
The cancellation of Mr. Leiter has encouraged the conservative foundation established in Washington to scrap a public presentation from a proposed route map that “(the United States) relationship” with Israel would “reorient” to a “real strategic partnership” instead of the long -term positioning of the Jewish state as a “receiver of the” receiver of the “receiver of the”.
The foundation played an important role in conceptualizing much of the policy of President Donald Trump.
At the time, Mr. Leiter’s planned appearance was not the only engagement that the ambassador has canceled in the launch of the heritage.

He also agreed a meeting with a visit to the Israeli legislator Amit Halevi, the chairman of the subcommittee of parliament About security doctrine and power building.
Mr Halevi, a member of the Likud party of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, was in Washington to convince republican members of the congress and the conservative think tanks and organizations that changing the American-Israeli relationship was in the interest of both countries.
During his 10-day visit, Mr. Halevi spread a pamphlet entitled ‘A large Israel-one larger America. Ending Aid. Expansion of the sovereignty ‘that argued for replacing the aid based on military relationship’ with a model that strengthens bilateral cooperation ‘, including jointly funded research and development projects in defense, cyber security and intelligence.
The pamphlet argued that AID “creates a false story of dependence, the global status of Israel weakens and subject to political pressure. In reality, American support for Israel is a strategic investment, which provides enormous value for every dollar received.”

Mr. Halevi traveled to Washington after his Subcommittee held hearings Whether Israel should reduce his dependence on the US pending the United States that may use help to print Israel.
Help leads to āpressure on Israel over our vital interests during all years. You get money, so you have to do this and this and this, “said Mr. Halevi in āāan interview with the Jewish Insider.
Mr. Halevi’s concern has been enlarged with the Israeli government and military lawyers who are increasingly worried that the authorities could arrest or interrogate officers and soldiers who helped in Gaza and staff of defense contractors who helped the war effort on suspicion of committing war crimes while traveling abroad.

In a still grim movement, Israeli military lawyers have Reportedly
Advised combat units in order not to facilitate the departure from Gaza from Palestinians for non-medical reasons to prevent them from being accused of complicity in war crimes.
The advice emphasizes the Israeli military command that the government’s explanation to encourage Palestinians to have Gaza and to have doubts about plans to occupy unpaid areas of the comic, starting with Gaza City.
Mr. Netanyahu marked his opposition against a restructuring of the relationship between the US and Israel at the time of Mr Hallevi’s visit to Washington and the publication of the Heritage Roadmap.
In a U-turn six months later, however, Mr. Leiter acknowledged this month that the nature of the US-Israeli relationship could change and, for all practical purposes, ended the proposal of Mr. Hallevi.
Mr. Leiter’s recognition came when the United States and Israel started discussing a follow-up of the ten-year Memorandum of agreement between the two countries, which will expire in 2028. The memorandum guarantees Israel US $ 3.8 billion a year in American defense support.
The prospect of a restructuring of the American Israeli military relations can be a reason why the United States is investing Hundreds of millions of dollars When upgrading Israeli military facilities for new fuel aircraft and helicopters, as well as a new headquarters for Shayelet 13 Naval Command Unit and ammunition storage locations.
“Perhaps we are changing the nature (of the MOU), where there will be more joint research and development between our two countries, rather than trusting American weapons,” said Mr. Leiter.
The Heritage Roadmap, entitled ‘From special relationship to strategic partnership’, developed with input from the extreme right -wing misgav institute for National Security and Zionist strategy, suggests that the military financing of weapons purchase from military sale to Israel ‘is switching. “
The United States and Israel would achieve this by increasing the annual US $ 3.8 billion of the Memorandum in American help to Israel to US $ 4 billion, while every year it is reduced by $ 250 million from 2029 to 2047, if the help would stop.
At the same time, Israel would be obliged to increase his purchases from US Defense equipment by $ 250 million a year, starting in 2029.
Long in favor of American aid, Mr Netanyahu has been warmed up since Mars to the idea of āāa paradigm shift in the military relationship between the US and Israel.
Mr Netanyahu meant for the first time a shift in his thinking in May by declaring that ‘We will have to wean ourselves from American military aid. “
Consciously that his behavior of the Gaza war has changed considerable segments of American public opinion into the aisle against IsraelIncluding influential figures in Mr. Trump’s Make America Great Again Support BaseMr Netanyahu hopes that a restructured relationship will project the Jewish state as an invaluable active.
‘Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens’ Orbit is not first America; They are Israel and Jews last. America is first in order. We have no problem with that. We put Israel first, America puts America in first place … I think it is clear and elementary. Israel is always wrong with the isolationist and conspiration law, and the Jews are always behind everything, “Mr. Leiter said.
Two prominent make America great again, Mr Carlson and Mrs. Owens, known for her anti -Semitism, in addition to figures such as Steve Bannon, Mr. Trump’s former adviser, the adviser of Strategic Affairs have increasingly criticized Israel and her relations with the United States.
Mr. Trump recently recognized Israel’s increasingly affected image when he noticed that āIsrael was the strongest lobby (in Washington) that I have ever seen. They had total control over the congress, and now not, you know, I know a bit to see that … They have to deal with that war, but it hurts Israel. There is no doubt about it. They may win the war, but they don’t win the world of public relations, “said Mr. Trump.
Then quote the US Air Force -Intelligence Chief Gen. George F. Keegan say that in 1986 Israeli intelligence was worth “five cias”, “ Mr. Leiter said in his recent interview: “You know how much that would cost. The level of cooperation that we have between our intelligence communities on this point is whole, very, very deep and wide. We offer an enormous service to the interests of the United States in the middle.”
Mr. Leiter claimed that the wars of Israel in the past two years against Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Jemeni Houthis, and Iran had reduced the threat to moderate Arab states and had created new “geopolitical realities” that righteous a change in the USALIAN DEVENTION.
“This enables the United States to rely more on a collective between Israel and his neighbors and have less an American footprint in the middle -east. That is why the nature of each MOU or collaboration effort will change,” said Mr. Leiter.
