Packs of the freely available painkiller paracetamol have been recalled because of fears some are ‘infected’.
Drug Waakhond The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) published the recall after a small number of pills were ‘discolored’.
For two parties, the precautionary change was 500 mg of doses made by Chelonia Healthcare Limited.
Civil servants insisted on patients to check whether they had received batches with code 2312010 and 2312011 that can be found on the packaging.
The affected batches have an expiry date of 30 and 31 November 2027 and were distributed earlier this year.
“The tablets must be” white capsule-shaped tablets, scored on one side, “is the recall.
“If you find tablets that are discolored in any way, contact your pharmacist or the care provider who has abandoned your recipe in potches.”
Civil servants also said that patients who have taken the medication and experience ‘side effects’ to seek medical help.

The MHRA added that the specific batches of this medicine can only be obtained from a pharmacy with a recipe.
Medici has also been told to stop issuing a remaining stock of the batches while an investigation is underway.
The recall has not detailed detailed which risk, if applicable, the taking of the medication could be.
However, previous cases of discolored paracetamol tablets are linked to fungal contamination.
A similar recall was published in Europe in 2019 after some batches of the medication were infected with a trunk called Penicillium Citrinum.
Paracetamol is one of the most taken medicines in the UK, where some studies are sold every year in Britain, sold in Great Britain every year, equal to 70 tablets per person.
Although it is usually purchased freely, the painkiller is still prescribed on the NHS.
