Going forward, the rate for the Level 1 Coaching Course is set at EUR 100 – the amount used as a launch promotional offer in 2025. This now corresponds to the registration fee for Level 2 Coaching. In addition, to support global development, there are coaches from certain developing countries, as defined by the World Bankcan request a 50% discount on the course fee.
Eligibility for direct entry into the Level 1 course has also been expanded. Coaches who hold a valid equivalent coaching qualification issued by their National Paralympic Committee can now register directly at Level 1. In addition, athletes who have competed as sitting volleyball athletes in a World ParaVolley sanctioned event are also eligible to progress directly to Level 1. This makes the full list:
General Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old
Sporting requirements:
– At least 3 years of experience coaching a club or national team, and
– Completion of VolleySLIDE e-learning, or
– Possess a valid national Coaching Volleyball qualification, or
– Possess a valid FIVB Level 1 or 2 Coaching Volleyball qualification, or
– Hold a valid, comparable coaching qualification from the National Paralympic Committee, or
– Have participated in a World ParaVolley event as a sitting volleyball athlete
In addition, the ability to bypass Level 1 if you hold a valid national Coaching Volleyball qualification of Level 2 or higher, or a valid Coaching Volleyball qualification of FIVB Level 1 or 2 (Recognition of Previously Acquired Competencies) has been extended until the 2028 Paralympic Games. General Requirements:
– Must be at least 21 years old
– Provide a supporting letter from WPV member (if applicable)
– At least 12 months after completion of WPV Level 1 Coaching
Sporting requirements:
– Have at least 5 years of experience coaching a club or national team, and
– Be in possession of the WPV Level 1 Coaching Sitting Volleyball qualification, or
– Possess a valid national qualification for coach volleyball of level 2 or higher, or
– Possess a valid FIVB Level 1 or 2 Coaching Volleyball qualification
