►Our friend Bu Hockey Stats has a significant expansion of BU hockey history and information about his announced Website. He has added new graphs with all-time goalkeeper Shutouts and Hattricks who have been registered to go back to the early days of Terrier hockey more than 100 years ago. Here is a taste:
Now that we have looked at a first (and lasting), let’s watch some records. Starting with goalkeepers, Jack Ferreira set the program record for most shutouts in a season with 8 in 1964-65, John Curry
Almost corresponded to him in 2006-07 when he recovered 7. Jake Oettener is the only other terrier goalkeeper who records 5+ in a season. Oettinger is also the only goalkeeper in program history that registers 4+ Shutouts in several seasons, so that this does all 3 seasons between the pipes

The one praise for Tynan Lawrence After his strong show in the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup keep coming. From the discussion of athletics about the top players of the tournament:
Bultman: fast height control: Tynan Lawrence now reads more than 6 feet. That is important in the middle. Going from sub-6 to 6-foot center changes the perception.
Pronman: That’s it. And although they didn’t get many points, scouts were most impressed by Lawrence who came from the tournament, with most of them called him the top perspective of Canada. He is a high-end skater and competitor and comes from a Clark Cup MVP in the USHL and a center in a class that is thin in the position.
Wheeler: The middle scarcity is really this cycle. Lawrence is a natural two -way center, imposes a big spotlight on him.
Pronman: The conversation with him probably starts very high as soon as Gavin McKenna is off the board, possibly at 2. I am not saying that I would rank it today.
Scott Wheeler’s newest 2026 Draft Ranking has Lawrence on #5, while it hockey news’ Early ranking Gives Lawrence on #13 and Braidy Wassilyn at #15
►Where will the future terriers play next season?
Lawrence returns to Muskegon and will be accompanied by 6’4 “Swedish wing Viktor Norringer. 2027 Recruit James Scantlebury Will also be in the USHL after he has presented himself with Chicago. NTDP U18S Luke Schairer And Jamie can Will also play in the USHL, along with about a dozen matches against NCAA teams – although BU is not on the schedule this year.
Newly involved 2027 recruits Carter Meyer And Sam Pandolfo were selected for the NTDP U17s and will see action against USHL and NAHL teams, among others.
2026 Recruit Yegor Shilov is on the way to the Qmjhl and will skate with Victoriaville, while classmate Rian Chudzinki, That Dexter Southfield led to the Nepsac Elite 8 Championship Game, also goes north to play for Moncton.
As noted last week, Recruit 2027 Freddy Meyer V Is in Quebec where he has been “a pleasant surprise” in the training camp of the Remarts. Le Soilel talked to Freddy and his father about his chance in the Q and about Carter, whose rights the brakeparts have. The story is in French, so press the translating button at the top. Although the translation is a bit awkward, you get the core of the conversation.

A name that has been omitted here is the captain of Utah Mammoth Clayton Keller. Recently the Daily Faceoff asked, Is Clayton Keller the most underrated player in the NHL?
Former Boston Hockey blog writer Belle Fraserwho is now the Utah Mammoth reporter for the Salt Lake City Tribune, explains:
“I definitely think that Keller is underestimated, partly because of his bad supporting cast and the situation in Arizona in recent years. I think he has more in the scoring department and a little too much postponed last season. He is a good two -way player and has a lead; only his size (5’10”, 175) can stop him. He works 10 times harder because of his size. “
USA Hockey does not endorse Keller because it is him to the 44-man camp schedule for the Olympic team of 2026. He joins Eichel, Brady Tkachuk, Charley Mcavoy, Alex Vlasic And Jake Oettener as terriers who receive invitations. Orientation camp in Plymouth, Mich., Is set on 26-27 August. BU and Michigan are the schools with the most guests with six each.
