Come for the landscape, stay for Eric Bana in a new Netflix murder mystery.
After playing a federal agent who investigated a mystery, the high country for the Dry II, Eric Bana now plays an American federal agent who does exactly that in Yosemite National Park.
Untamed is a new Six Part -series for Netflix. This time Bana Kyle Turner whose day is disturbed by the discovery of the body of a young woman who fell out of pure Roackface, El Capitan.
Make no mistake, if murder mystery is not your thing, you can just as easily lean back and participate in the spectacular landscape of this Saga. If it looks beautiful on your Apple TV screensaver, it is also the case in the Netflix mini -series.
But back to the story.
Kyle works together with the new Recruit Ranger Naya Vasquez (Lily Santiago) who has moved from the city to work for Park Ranger Paul Souter (Sam Nill) team.
But Kyle is a lonely wolf, who is still driving a horse, talks to Indians through experienced local Jay (Raoul Trujillo) and has brought all his tracker instinct It dry.
Nobody knows who this victim of Jane does, but Kyle is determined to get there at the same time when Paul is under pressure to ensure that panic has no strong tourist trade.
Kyle is also separated from ex -woman Jill (Rosemarie Dewitt) for reasons that will soon arise, although the two cannot continue. He drowns his sorrows in alcohol, stares longing for the night sky and lives continuously in the past.
Young mother Vasquez will also have to prove herself to Kyle if she has to cut a place in this men -dominated environment.
There is a high dose of character history of writers Mark L. Smith & Elle Smith and spiritual themes are never far away. Sometimes it leans to the serious melodrama, but the series works best when breeding that Eric Bana is left to distinguish the crime drama.
So much can be transferred from his complaining expression only in the wilderness without a dialogue or foreground conflicts. Sam Neill is so reliable about these types of roles that it does not demand from his talents at all, which is a bit disappointing.
Cinematographers Michael McDonough and Brendan Uegama also bring rich forest vegetables to these locations, pretty special on your TV with large screen.
Directors Thomas Bezucha, Nick Murphy and Neasa Hardiman keep this as a Slowburn series, but with Eric Bana as the driver you are in good hands.
Come for the landscape, stay for Eric Bana.
Untamed is now screening on Netflix.
