Former UFC stars Nate Diaz and Demetrious Johnson have both sided with the YouTuber-turned-boxer to get away the win, while former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury voiced his support for Paul before the fight was made official. However, Matt Brown has little patience for someone picking Paul to come out on top.

During a recent episode of The fighter versus the writer (via MMAFighting.com), Matt Brown shared his thoughts on the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua match. The UFC veteran dismissed the idea that Paul would win outright, saying there is no good basis for such predictions.
“The Immortal” went on to argue that those who support Paul are merely allowing themselves to take credit if a shock somehow occurs, while emphasizing that anyone who truly understands boxing should expect “AJ” to finish the fight emphatically.
“You’re not a combat expert if you call Jake Paul to win,” Brown said. “You’re going against everything that any fighting expert would ever consider. There’s no reason to believe Jake Paul has a chance against Anthony Joshua… You have to respect the fact that he’s going out there and doing this to Anthony Joshua. Does that mean he has a chance to win? No. I have as good a chance as a date with Scarlett Johansson tonight. That’s probably not going to happen.”
“It’s a silly conversation. It’s part of the news and we have to talk about it. Every now and then things come up in this sport that become big talking points and you just feel weird even when you’re entertaining it. I’m like, OK, do you really think Jake Paul is going to win? OK, you’re stupid. Either you don’t really think it, or you’re stupid. There’s no logical reason to believe it.”
