UFC Vegas 111 fight week is here. There are only five events left on the 2025 schedule, two of which will take place at the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, NV. Saturday’s card is the penultimate stop at the Apex this year.

If you’re watching the event from the United States (and we won’t be able to say this for too much longer), live coverage of the card will be exclusive to ESPN+. The action kicks off on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 PM ET/1:00 PM PT with the preliminaries.

The main card battles follow at 7pm ET/4pm PT on Disney’s subscription-based streaming service. Barring any late changes to this weekend’s itinerary between now and fight night, Saturday’s itinerary at UFC Vegas 111 will feature a 12-fight slate from the world’s top MMA promotion.

UFC Vegas 111 Featured Preliminary: Hyder Amil vs. Jamall Emmers

At the top of Saturday night’s prelims, the featherweights head to the legendary Octagon when Hyder Amil (11-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) meets Jamall Emmers (21-8 MMA, 4-4 UFC). All fights mentioned herein are an advertised maximum of three rounds of five minutes per round.

Hyder Amil enters this weekend with a mark of 4-1 over the course of his past five fights since his contract-winning performance at Contender series in the summer of 2023. He saw the 11-fight winning streak that started his professional career reversed by knockout in just 26 seconds on June 28 by Jose Delgado (10-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC).

This is his third walk to the cage in 2025. Will he bounce back from June’s defeat next weekend?

On the other side, Jamall Emmers will make the walk in the preliminary round of UFC Vegas 111 on Saturday night after posting a 3-2 record in his last five fights dating back to February 2023. he finished off Gabriel Miranda (17-8 MMA, 1-3 UFC) in the opening round in March from Mexico City.

However, Emmers wasn’t always booked to face Hyder Amil on Saturday night at UFC Vegas 111. Initially, his opponent on Saturday night was Austin Bashi (14-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC), before the latter had to withdraw due to injury.

How has the change of opponent affected Emmers’ game plan for Saturday night? Only time will tell.

UFC Vegas 111 Co-Featured Prelim: No. 10 contender Mayra Bueno Silva vs. No. 11 contender Jaqueline Cavalcanti

Immediately before that, the restructured preliminary round of UFC Vegas 111 will take place in women’s bantamweight. No. No. 10 contender Mayra Bueno Silva (10-5-1, 1 NC MMA, 5-5-1, 1 NC UFC) clashes with No. 11 contender Jaqueline Cavalcanti (9-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC.)

Initially, the spot for Saturday’s UFC Vegas 111 co-main event was set to be reserved for a bantamweight bout between Adrian Yanez (17-6 MMA, 6-3 UFC) and Cristian Quinonez (18-5 MMA, 1-2 UFC). This fight was scrapped earlier this week after Quinonez was forced to leave due to visa problems.

Returning to Bueno Silva vs. Cavalcanti this weekend, the former landing in Nevada with a 1-3 record with one no-contest in her last five bouts.

She is currently on a four-fight winless streak after her 2023 win against Holly Holm (15-7, 1 NC MMA, 8-7, 1 NC UFC) was retroactively overturned to a no-contest after she tested positive for Ritalic acid and has lost three straight bouts. Most recently, she dropped a unanimous decision to Jasmine Jasudavicius (14-4 MMA, 8-3 UFC) on February 1 at UFC Riyadh.

Mayra Bueno Silva enters must-win territory on Saturday evening. Another loss at UFC Vegas 111 would make it four in a row. This is a crucial period of action of 15 minutes or less for the Bueno Silva camp.

Meanwhile, Jacqueline Cavalcanti comes into Saturday’s fight having posted a perfect 5-0 record in her last five matches. Currently, she has won seven fights in a row.

On February 15, she outlasted Julia Avila (9-4 MMA, 3-3 UFC) via unanimous decision at the same UFC Apex facility where this weekend’s show will take place.

At its core, this is a story of two fighters going in opposite directions. Cavalcanti is currently on the right track and a win here would do wonders for her resume.

UFC Vegas 111: Josh Hokit vs. Max Gimenis

The heavyweights will also compete on the undercard of UFC Vegas 111 in 2025 Contender series graduate Josh Hokit (6-0 MMA, UFC promotional debut) makes his first free walk in the promotion against Max Gimenis (6-1 MMA, UFC promotional debut), a Shogun Fights alumnus.

Hokit has yet to lose as a professional. On August 19, he headed to the UFC Apex to secure his promotional contract by second-round knockout due to elbows in one minute and six seconds against Guilherme Uriel at DWCS 78 on ESPN+.

While Saturday’s fight marks Hokit’s UFC debut, it certainly isn’t his first bout in major MMA. Prior to his stint in the LFA, he posted a 2-0 record under the Bellator promotional banner between 2023 and 2024. He’s already tasted success on the big stage, but now that he has a UFC deal under his belt, will he make a good first impression?

In the other corner, Max Gimenis has a 4-1 record in his last five fights under MMA rules. On March 29, he scored a first-round knockout against Diego Peclat (7-9-1 MMA) at Shogun Fights 30.

This is also Gimenis’ first fight under the banner, but a win at UFC Vegas 111 on Saturday night would add an impressive point to his resume. Will he oust Hokit from the undefeated ranks? Tune in and find out.

Rest of the preliminaries

The undercard of UFC Vegas 111 is completed with these matches:

  • A strawweight bout between No. 13 contender Tecia Pennington (15-7 MMA, 11-7 UFC) and No. 15 contender Denise Gomes (11-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC)
  • a bantamweight affair that pairs Miles Johns (15-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) with Daniel Marcos (17-1, 1 NC MMA, 4-1, 1 NC UFC,)
  • and a contracted catchweight (195 lbs) pairing Jackson McVey (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) with Zach Reese (9-2, 1 NC MMA, 3-2, 1 NC UFC). A planned Jackson McVey vs. Donte Johnson bout was scrapped after Johnson was medically cleared to fight. Had Johnson been able to complete the walk, he would have competed for the second weekend in a row.

Which fight are you looking forward to in the preliminaries? Let us know in the comments.
