We’ve got all of tonight’s UFC Vancouver results in store for you, including the middleweight main event between Reinier de Ridder and Brendan Allen.
De Ridder (21-2 MMA) will enter the bout on a five-fight winning streak, with his four most recent victories coming within the category. Octagon. In his most previous appearance, ‘RDR’ scored a split-decision victory over former division champion Robert Whittaker.
Meanwhile, Brendan Allen (25-7 MMA) last competed at the UFC 318 event in July, where he scored a unanimous decision victory over longtime rival Marvin Vettori. That win was preceded by back-to-back decision losses to opponents Anthony Hernandez and Nassourdine Imavov.

The first round of the UFC Vancouver Main Event begins and Reinier de Ridder immediately comes forward looking for a takedown. He doesn’t get it, but is able to force the clinch and back Brendan Allen against the cage. Allen reverses the position, but ‘RDR’ hits a trip throw and lands in full position. This is not good for ‘All in’. Ridder is already working on an arm-triangle choke. Allen creates some space, so ‘RDR’ chooses to work in some left hands. Allen tries to scramble and gives up his back. Reinier de Ridder secures both hooks. He switches to a body triangle and has two minutes left to work. Allen continues to fight, but he is undoubtedly in a very bad place. Good punches from the top by ‘RDR’. He rolls for the neck, but Brendan Allen defends well again. More punches from the former ONE FC two-division champion. He lands a solid left hand. Allen complains of being shot in the back of the head. He will survive to see round two.
Round two of the UFC Vancouver headliner begins and Reinier de Ridder gets a good body kick to start. Brendan Allen charges forward with a flurry and forces the clinch. ‘RDR’ quickly reverses position and puts ‘All In’ back against the cage. Good goals from Reinier. The American seems to escape from the position, but that doesn’t work. De Ridder drops for a takedown. He gets it eventually. This is just a mauling in terms of wrestling dominance. Allen tries to escape, but gives up his back in the process. ‘RDR’ is a bit high and that allows Allen to escape through the back and take top position. A big elbow from ‘All In’ lands right away. Another solid elbow comes through for Brendan Allen. He continues to ground and pound until the horn sounds.
Round three begins and Brendan Allen appears to be the fresher fighter. Reinier de Ridder steps in for a takedown attempt. He understands and immediately goes to the back. He locks a body triangle and firmly establishes the dominant position. The crowd becomes restless and begins to boo. Brendan Allen recovers and manages to get back into the top position. There are just under 3 minutes left in the round. ‘RDR’ looks to roll for an armbar. He can’t secure it and now Allen has his back. Wow! Good punches from Allen. ‘RDR’ now has serious damage on his face. All with elbows and some left hands. Reinier de Ridder’s right eye is a mess. ‘RDR’ with an inverted triangle. Allen survives the choke and sees round four.
The fourth round of the UFC Vancouver headliner begins and Brendan Allen is in the middle of a takedown. He picks up his opponent and guides him to his corner before putting him on the canvas. Reinier de Ridder, who was barely able to get back into his corner after round three, looks completely gassed. ‘All In’ with some body shots. He stands up and lands one to the head. Halfway through round four. There has been virtually no abuse or submission threats from ‘RDR’ yet. He now appears to be rolling to an arm. Big right hand from Brendan Allen. He has 90 seconds left to work in this round. Allen goes to side control. He continues to smother and pound ‘RDR’ until the last horn.
The fifth and final round of the UFC Vancouver headliner hasn’t even started yet because Reinier de Ridder is too exhausted to continue.
