The UFC makes its debut this Saturday in Doha, Qatar with a solid main card headlined by lightweights Arman Tsarukyan and Dan “The Hangman” Hooker.
UFC Qatar also sees a key welterweight fight in the co-main event, pitting Ian Machado Garry against former champion and number one contender Belal Muhammad.
Both fights carry potential title implications, although only Tsarukyan vs. Hooker is called the number one fight. Of course, such designations, even when labeled by the UFC’s senior executives, never seem to be set in stone.
Waldo Cortes-Acosta will be in action at UFC Qatar on short notice, replacing Serghei Spivac on three days’ notice.
