UFC Fight Night 263 and the paths of both heavyweight hunters
UFC Fight Night 263 represents the fourth trip from Cortes-Acosta to the cage this calendar year. Cortes-Acosta seems to hand over its first UFC-specific loss. ‘Salsa Boy’ is a former LFA champion and Cortes-Acosta seems to be back in the win column after having broken a long-winning series.
Prior to his recent loss for Sergei Pavlovich, Cortes-Acosta compiled a five-fog winning series. That victorious stretch contained remarkable victories over Serghei Spivac and Andrei Arlovski to name just a few.
It was already mentioned that Delija made waves in the PFL. But he also cut his teeth on circuits such as KSW and Rizin before his recent signing at the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Delija is also a regular training partner from Team Apinall, who is in a heavyweight Megakamp.
The status of this camp not only rests on the reputation of UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall, but the camp also contains names such as former Octagon MMA champion Martin Buday and KSW heavyweight title holder Phil de Fries.
Delija recently made his debut against a well-known enemy in the UFC, and it will be ten years ago since their non-so-known first fight from tomorrow. On September 20, 2015, Marcin Tybura won a win in the first round via leg injury on M-1 Challenge 61, but he would end up in their follow-up collision in the wrong end of a first round. Delija stopped Tybura with strikes in the Openingstanza of their UFC Paris on 6 September.
Delija will enter this competition as the number ten-arranged competition In the promotion, while Cortes-Acosta steps into the Octagon for this competition as the number of the promotion six ranked heavyweight.
