When Rogan isn’t calling the fights from the Octagon side, he can usually be found on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, which is among the biggest podcasts in the world.
Rogan records his podcast exclusively in his podcast studio. However, he almost took part in a wild podcast set atop the pyramids of Giza in Egypt.
The crazy story of this ambitious project was revealed by social media star MrBeast during a conversation with Jackass star Steve-O. MrBeast was apparently the architect of the plan, but it ultimately fell through.
That’s how it went according to the man himself.

“In one of the videos we made last year, we got to see the pyramids of Egypt for 100 hours,” he explained. “I was allowed to explore the pyramids and go wherever I wanted without restriction. We went under the pyramids, we went into all the secret rooms. We crawled around on top of the Giza pyramid. It was really fucking sick. That was a video we worked on for three years.
“We were so close to doing a podcast with Joe Rogan at the top of the pyramid,” he added. “He couldn’t make it and make it work. He had a completely different schedule and we couldn’t move it. The days you get to the pyramid are just the damn days you get to the pyramid.”
“I thought it would be so funny. He also does it in his studio, he doesn’t travel. So I don’t know if he even wanted to do it. Maybe it was like, ‘I’m busy, I don’t want to fucking leave the studio.'”
While MrBeast is right that Rogan isn’t traveling much these days, the UFC commentator remains very busy on home soil. He will be back in action next weekend for commentator UFC 324. It will be the promotion’s first broadcast on Paramount.
