UFC 322 facts and figures after exciting November 15 show in NYC

On one of the most important cards in the company’s history, UFC 322 set the stage for a pair of monumental superfights featuring the women’s welterweight and flyweight divisions. Islam Makhachev has risen from lightweight and successfully dethroned the newly minted Jack Della Maddalena to become one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time in the UFC 322 main event. The UFC 322 co-main event also saw Valentina Shevchenko cement her place as the best female 125-pound athlete ever by toppling former strawweight ruler Zhang Weili.

UFC 322: Benoit Saint Denis def. Beneil Dariush

Saint-Denis’ UFC 322 victory over Beneil Dariush is not only his third win in a row, but also his third in 2025. It is his fifth victory by knockout as a professional. He has now earned his second straight Performance of the Night bonus after previously dismantling Maurício Ruffy at UFC Fight Night 258 last September.

Dariush’s UFC 322 to Saint-Denis knocked him out of the win column after a stunning unanimous decision victory over Renato Moicano at UFC 317 in June. In addition hThis knockout loss to the Frenchman is the fastest loss of his professional career at 16 seconds, beating the previous fastest time after being stopped in 42 seconds by Alexander Hernandez at UFC 222 in 2018

He is now 2-3 in his last five games, with all of those setbacks coming via hits.

UFC 322: Carlos Prates def. Leon Edwards

Prates’ victory over Edwards was his twelfth victory by knockout since 2019. It was also his third pay-per-view appearance on the main card, having appeared at both UFC 305 and UFC 319. He is now 6-1 in his promotional period.

Leon Edwards

Edward’s loss to Prates marked his third defeat in a row. He has now lost his last two matches by stoppage, with his knockout stoppage against Prates being the first of his professional career.

He is now in ninth place on the UFC’s Welterweight Rankings after previously being champion at UFC 304 last year

UFC 322: Michael Morales def. Sean Brady

Michael Morales

Morales’ UFC 322 victory over Brady was his 19th straight victory since beginning his professional career in 2017. He has now won his last three tilts by finishing in the first round

His appearance at UFC 322 was also his first pay-per-view slot since UFC 277 in 2022. 14 of his last 19 wins have now come close.

Sean Brady

His loss to Morales was just the second of his journey as a professional, and also his first since suffering a knockout setback against future welterweight champion Belal Muhammad at UFC 280.

His match with Morales was also solo the second time he was unable to knock out his opponent in a UFC fight. He is now 4-2 in his last six games.

UFC 322: Valentina Shevchenko def. Zhang Weili


Valentina Shevchenko

Shevchenko’s victory over Weili is her third consecutive victory. It is also the second title defense of her second reign as women’s flyweight champion, ninth overall if she takes her first.

She is now tied for the most women’s title fights in UFC history, sharing the feat with Amanda Nunes.

Zhang Weili

Weili’s loss to Shevchenko is her first since losing to Rose Namajunas at UFC 268 in 2021. Three of her four losses as a professional have now come on the judges’ scorecards.

Her UFC record stands at 10-3, with all of her upsets coming in championship bouts.

UFC 322: Islam Makhachev final Jack Della Maddalena

His win over Della Maddalena is his 16th straight, giving Anderson Silva the longest winning streak in UFC history. He is now the eleventh fighter to capture a promotional title in two different weight classes

Makhachev is also only the second man to hold both the lightweight and welterweight belts, after BJ Penn. 10 of his 28 triumphs as a professional have come via decisions.

Jack Della Maddalena

His loss to Makhachev was his first since 2016, having previously started an 18-fight winning streak. It was also his first in the UFC after debuting in the organization in 2022 and racking up eight straight wins.

His 189-day reign as welterweight king was the fourth shortest in the history of the division
