The Champions League -similar game for the 2025/26 season has been made and it has yielded a number of tasty competitions for the six involved Premier League teams.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are confronted with Bayern Munich, Manchester City has to travel to Real Madrid while Liverpool will receive them, and Spurs will reunite with PSG after their UEFA Super Cup defeat.

Newcastle United is also confronted with the ruling champions, and they will organize Barcelona in St James’ Park in a repeat of their classic collision in 1997.

The 36 participating clubs play eight games against eight different opponents, four at home and four away, in the competition phase.

The top eight is directly eligible for the knockout phase, with 16 sides that contest a play -off round. The teams that are completed between the 25th and 36th are eliminated when the competition phase is closed in January. The teams that come through the play-offs will join the top eight parties in the last 16 years.

The extensive format, which was introduced for the first time last year, has resulted in a number of enormous collisions between the largest clubs in Europe.

UEFA publishes the full list of the Champions League fixture with competition data and kick-off times later than Saturday 30 August.
