UEFA Champions League (UEFA Champions League (UCCL) 2025/26 And that also applies to the official fantasy game of the competition.
We have a lot of UCL -fantasy coverage for the deadline to help you with your teams.
Here one of our Pro experts, FPL Milanista (AKA Obay) shares his MatchDay 2 team and some expert tips about the game. Obay knows what he is talking about, with finishes of 344th, 141st and 31st in the past seasons and a current rank of 333rd.
After an explosive start of the UCL -fantasy season, it is time to shift from acceleration and prepare for MatchDay 2.
MatchDay 1 saw me achieve an impressive 119 points and place me in general – a wonderful symmetrical song to start things! Now the real challenge begins: building consistency and seting the basis for success through group phases.
My first approach was to treat MatchDay 1 as a free hit, go aggressive and then a wildcard in a balanced team for the long term. Day 1 of MatchDay 1 first looked like a flop. Heavy favorites such as Benfica and PSV both crashed, which ensured a rocky start. But days 2 and 3 it turned spectacularly, with PSG, Bayern and sporty combination of 11 goals and breathing life in the matchday.
Enough about the past – let’s talk about MatchDay 2 now.
MatchDay 2 strategy

Your approach of MatchDay 2 depends strongly on your chip strategy. If you have built your first team to cover several weeks, this is the time to refine using your two free transfers.
However, if you get to the joker sign, like me, MatchDay 2 is about laying a strong foundation for match days 2-4 and 6–8.
Why not record matchday 5? Because I am still firmly in the unlimited camp that week, given the heavy matchday 5 matches for the players I want to focus now.
So let’s break down the most important teams and players on my radar.
Teams that I focus on

Bayern Munich
Bayern is just as good as it will be MatchDay 5, where they are confronted with Arsenal (which we can skip with the unlimited chip). With a mix of early green luminaires and a strong attacking shape, I immediately feel comfortable to bring in 2-3 Bayern assets.
Napoli
The upcoming Run from Napoli is perhaps the best of every team. Although there is a bit of uncertainty around their keeper and defense, their midfielders are absolute value. I am aware Kevin De Bruyne (€ 8.0 million), Matteo Politano (€ 5.5 million) and even Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa (€ 5.5 million) for my Yoker sign. If their defense settles in front of the deadline, I can also sneak in a defender.
INTERNATIONAL
Inter’s Fixture Run will not surprise you for the entire group phase. But between MatchDay 2 and 4 they are confronted with Slavia Prague (H), Union SG (A) and Kairat (H). That is a dream run that is perfectly designed for the short -term profit.
Real Madrid
Real Madrid is a difficult team for joker signs. Los Blancos plays Juventus and Liverpool in match days 3 and 4, so you can be tempted to stay away.
But they are confronted with Kairat in Matchday 2, and that can be a goal festival. Am I missing that? Absolutely not. It will be very difficult to arrive this week with less than three Real Madrid players, especially because we have official team news for the deadline, allowing last-minute Pivots, depending on or Vinicius Junior (€ 9.5 million) or Arda Guler (€ 6.0 million) starts.
Keepers

My last subject here will be keepers. Goalkeeper transfers are never fun, so the right rotation planning is the key.
After studying the fixture Ticker, I tend to one of one of one of them David Raya (€ 5.5 million) or Lucas Chevalier (€ 4.5 million), and one of Geronimo Roll (€ 4.5 million) or Marco Carneecchi (€ 4.5 million). This combination gives you alternative playing days in match days 2–4 & 6–7, and works very well if you use your unlimited Matchday 5.
My matchday 2 Yoker sign
Good luck for everyone – may your Punts Land, your captains and your green arrows rise!
