Uber has re -launched and expanded its Business Booster program for 2025 to promote entrepreneurship among the community of directors’ partners and deliverers in Australia and New Zealand.

The Initiative has been developed in collaboration with Australian Social Enterprise Rare Birds and now offers free access to expert business education and offers financing options to every person who earns through the Uber and Uber Eats platforms in the region.

The Business Booster program was first launched in 2023 and has already supported 200 earners in the development or launch of their companies. With the 2025 relevant, the program becomes more inclusive and more scaled and offers access to all Uber drivers and deliverers until November 30, 2025. Participants can enter into eight online master classes related to topics such as marketing, finances, strategic planning and growth. The curriculum also includes interactive ASK The Expert Sessions, quizzes, downloadable tools and a community platform for peer learning. A completion certificate is granted at the end of the program.

The initiative also includes an opening of the pitch competition in November, where participants can submit a five-minute video for the chance to win part of Aud $ 50,000 in business subsidies. Prices are $ 25,000 for first place, $ 15,000 for the second and $ 10,000 for third place. Participants must complete at least two modules to be eligible. Pitches will be assessed for clarity, business potential, application of lessons and passion.

Emma Foley, general manager of Uber Australia and New Zealand, said that the program reflects the wider dedication of Uber for the long-term success of his earners.

“This year we will return the program to a more scalable format because we know that many driver partners and delivery people have great business ideas, and we not only want to support them while they earn with Uber, but also in their broader ambitions,” she said. “By opening the program for everyone, they have access to practical tools of marketing and finance to build an action plan-to bring their business ideas to life. In the past two years we have seen real companies appear and bloom, and we are delighted to help more driver partners and delivery people to start their entrepreneurial travel this year.”

Success stories from earlier cohorts emphasize the impact of the program. Steve Blain, founder of DBO Golf, used the support of Business Booster to bring its product, T-up Assist, a device that helps golfers to go on without bending on the market.

“I am incredibly the Uber and Rare Birds Business Booster program for supporting DBO Golf and my product, T-up assist-a tool that helps golfers to bend over it was just an idea,” said Blain. “Being part of the very first program and pitching live was an unforgettable experience. Their support and financing came at a critical moment, making us possible to start production and to move the product to the launch. Now that T-Up Assist is finally ready, it is a proof of what is possible when someone never believes in your vision. If you have an idea, back and apply,”

Another participant, Suraya O’Brien, an Uber Eats Delivery Person, based in New Zealand, launched Flow Riders after winning the top fair of the program in 2024 for her re-conceived line of period underwear designed for active people.

“The education component felt like a mini -MBA – exactly what I needed as someone with a limited business experience. Within five months after winning the main prize, I had successfully launched Flow Riders, which was a huge milestone,” said O’Brien. “For anyone who is considering this chance: make the leap. Whether or not you have a business idea, this can be the sign you’ve been waiting for. Believe in the generosity of others, trust your potential and give yourself permission to dream big. This program is really life -changing.”
