Two French women are accused because they have to smuggle more than 30 kilograms of methamphetamine in Australia in Australia to Australia in their suitcases.
The couple, which is 19 and 20 years old, was stopped on Tuesday by Australian Border Force (ABF) officers on Brisbane Airport after flying from a Southeast Asian country, the federal police said.
The officers would have found 32 individually packed bricks of white powder in their luggage.
The police said that the drugs had an estimated street value of $ 29 million.
Both women were accused of one count that imported a commercial amount of a border -controlled substance that can bear a life sentence.
They appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday 9 July and were taken in custody, the police said.
They are expected to appear again on 5 September.

Acting ABF commander Troy Sokoloff said it was “extremely unlikely”, the alleged perpetrators acted alone.
“These are now four young women detected in less than two weeks by ABF officers on Brisbane Airport,” he said.
“Our officers are alert to these trends and will continue to adjust and respond decisively while we work with AFP to disturb and investigate.”
