The twins announced on Monday that they have appointed right -handed Connor Gilispie for assignment. His place on the schedule of 40 men goes to colleague Righty Michael TonkinWhose contract has been selected from Triple-A St. Paul. Right -handed Travis Adams was reduced to Triple-A in a corresponding movement.

Gillispie was a distance from the Marlins organization last month. He appeared in four games (three starts) with the best Minor League branch of the twins, but was fragmented for 22 points in 13 2/3 innings. Prior to landing in Minnesota, he had won a place in the rotation of Miami’s opening day. Gillisipe made six starts with the fish, the first three of which went reasonably well (3.86 ERA in 14 innings), before he was beaten for 19 points about his next dozen innings. The Marlins gave him a different way at that time for Triple-a Jacksonville and he has not thrown in the Majors since, giving Gillispie a gloomy ERA of 8.65 in 26 MLB this season.

The 27-year-old Gillispie (28 in November) spent last season in the Guardians organization. He threw reasonably well and registered 113 1/3 with their Triple-A-Club on the way to a 4.05 ERA, a strikeout percentage of 25% and a running speed of 10.1%. That led to a short debut in the big league, in which Gillispie threw eight innings of relief and kept opponents to two points with an 8-5 K/BB ratio. Cleveland never made him anymore, after which he drew a Major League deal with the Braves and bounced to the Marlins after Atlanta tried to take him away.

More come.
