TUF Champion Daniil Donchenko Promises Brutal Finish in Debut vs. Alex Morono at UFC Vegas 113

Daniil Donchenko is preparing for his UFC debut on the main stage on February 7. This will take place at this weekend’s UFC Fight Night, where Donchenko has an intriguing welterweight bout against promotional stalwart Alex Morono. When talking about what he wants to do in this UFC Vegas 113 bout against Morono on Saturday, Donchenko said [via Bowks Talking Bouts],

“I want to make my debut in a very exciting way and end this fight in a brutal way, you know. Just enjoy my life after this debut and keep going.”

Alex Morono has been on the roster for ten years as of this year and has had 23 fights specifically in the UFC cage. When laying out some of the machinations of this matchup, Daniil Donchenko said [via Bowks Talking Bouts],

“Yes. It’s exactly a great opponent. Here I just have to show it, not just win, I have to do it in an exciting way. I should do it in a great way. It’s not just about winning now and actually the Paramount era, it’s not just about winning, not just about fighting. It’s about some stories of some action and I’m a fighter who wants to put action in the cage. I will definitely do this. For me this is the most important thing.”

“It’s not about winning, it’s about winning [an] great fight. It’s a lot of exchanges, damage to my opponent. I hope you’ll see some blood on his face. I don’t care if it will be on my face. It still looks good, you know. So I just want to give people this emotion, you know. Like these feelings. So I can’t wait to show it. To open my door and just fight inside.

Daniil Donchenko feels “extra motivation” from UFC Vegas 113 variables

With the TUF champion’s excitement surrounding the Paramount deal, and this being the first UFC Fight Night offering of the calendar year and also the first under the new Meta Apex branding, Daniil Donchenko joked [via Bowks Talking Bouts],

“Yes, I’ll be the first in the first card that Meta Apex opens for UFC Fight Nights. You know, before it was just Zufa, right, but not UFC. So I’ll be the first. I’ll be in the first card in Meta Apex. We’ve got some good bonuses, extra bonuses and some extra motivation [laughs]. Now there are more people in the Apex.”

“It will make me even more excited because I love it when people scream, I love it when people support, I love it when people react, when I hit someone and people say, oh wow, I love it. So now more people and I will be more excited.”
